Hi, My name is Zainah 32 years, I'm from singapore.
I have been suffering from acne for he past 6 years. I took accutane for the past 2 years and it clears up 80 percent of the acne. And now after 6months w/o accutane I'm suffering worse acne. I need help. I am feeling really low, I don even feel like going out of my room. I'm really embarassed. I read an article that oats mask might help. Is that true? I'm really desperate. Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have acne on the face since past 6 years which occur when duct of sebaceous gland get blocked and infected by bacteria. It could be due to hormonal changes ,stress or some medications. I would suggest you to not to prick or touch acne. You should exfoliate your skin to remove dead skin and bacteria's, wash your face with mild soap twice a day. You can start with oats mask as it will improve symptoms. You should avoid over exposure to sun and use over the counter ointment containing benzoyl peroxide. If condition persists even after adopting above method then consult dermatologist for proper evaluation of your condition . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , isotretinoin containing ointment or procedures like chemical peel or laser therapy.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
