Does Omeprazoole Cause Alopecia Araeta?

I had a patch of alopecia araeta(?) two years ago after a sudden shock. It regrew over a year and all seemed fine. I was prescribed omeprazole at the time of the appearance which I stopped taking as the problem that was for had gone. I went back onto omeprazole two months ago and small patch of bald scalp has appeared again. I have now put 2 and 2 together and think it was the omeprazole that has caused this, not the shock.

Hi
I have gone through your complaints but Omeprazole doesn't cause alopecia areata.
Alopecia areata is basically an immune mediated chronic inflammatory disease of the hair follicles.
