Does Pain Between Leg And Groin Indicate Hip Osteoarthritis?

I have been experiencing a sharp, incapacitating pain between my right leg and my groin for around 48 hours and am wondering if this is hip osteoarthritis. I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis around 2 years ago and had severe pains in my knees and ankle, but for the last 6 months this seems to have been absent, until 2 days ago. I am a woman, 62 years of age. What can I do, I value a physically active lifestyle and am a regular rambler. Although the condition gives me trouble when I turn over in bed at night it does not affect me walking. I have just walked around 7 miles. However, I found myself in acute pain when running for the train home and this also affected me on walking home leaving the station.
