Does Pain Free Movement Due To Cortisone Injection Worsen Adductus Longus Tear?

1st MRI shows grade 2 tear in the adductus longus. 3 months of physical therapy and new pain/bruising in the same general area but higher sends us for a 2nd MRI. Shows detached adductus longus and partially detached pectineus. Had a cortisone injection to help with inflammation and pain in the short term to get through athletic season and will follow with surgery. Question is will the cortisone allow for pain free movement that could worsen the injury or should we limit/eliminate activity and head right into surgery?
