Does Pain In Neck Alleviate Without Any Treatment?
Hello,
My name is Chris and I believe I have Cervical Radiculopathy. My symptoms began two days ago (woke up with a crick in my neck that has since worsened) and I have been treating with ibuprofen. Can I expect this to resolve itself within a couple Does?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain in neck . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like poor posture , working at a desk for too long without changing position , sleeping with your neck in a bad position , jerking the neck during exercise and arthritis . There can be other reasons also like Cervical Radiculopathy in case of herniated disc or cervical spondolysis . I would suggest you to apply warm compresses on your neck thrice a day , do not sit work or stand in one position for long time and do light stretching exercises under exert supervision . Consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order x-ray , CT scan and MRI to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant , vitamin supplement along with anti inflammatory . Doctor may also recommend physical therapy and surgery in severe case .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
