Does Pain In The Left Arm Around The Elbow Require An Orthopedicians S Opinion?

i have had pain in my left arm at and around my elbow since before Christmas. I did consult a doctor and he indicated that it could be tennis elbow. I do a lot and I mean a lot of crocheting. however, his advice to purchase and use a brace has not helped at all. I have also used Aleve liquigels and BenGay and even a heating pad nothing ive done at home has helped. should I consult a orthopedic specialist for further evaluation?

Hello,

The symptoms are typical of tennis elbow. It is better to consult an orthopaedician for further assessment. In severe cases, you will require steroid injection to the joint for long-term pain relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
