Does Pain In Tooth After Fixing A Crown Suggest Need Of Root Canal Treatment?

I had a crown done 2 days ago it hurt the day of. The next day had really no pain. The day after went back and had a deep cleaning with a deff dentist and they cleaned my temp crown. Now today the day after it hurts. Do you think it s is just sore or do you think I might need a root canal

I have gone through your query and can very well understand your health concerns..

As per your query some soreness and sensitivity in a tooth on which crown is placed but it is not root canal treated is not abnormal and the sensitivity wears of in 4 to 5 days..

But in case if you have pain then there is a need of evaluation and x Ray to find out that if there is any nerve exposed during preparing of tooth for placing the crown..

If this is the case you will have to get the root canal done, but if it is just sensitivity and not pain you can use desensitizing tooth paste like Sensoform or Thermoseal and relax as it will wean off gradually..
