I am a female and my boyfriend performed oral sex on me for the first time, I have never had a sexual partner before him therefore certain I do not have an STD. The day after this happened he started complaining about a sore throat that is only getting worse. Could the oral sex have anything to do with this or could he have just gotten a strep virus from some other source?
Sore throat after oral sex is one of the symptoms of Oral sexually transmitted infection. Other symptoms are oral lesions, fever, swollen lymph nodes. It's possible that you may have a sexually transmitted infection (STI) without knowing it.
So, protect yourself or your partner, you can use condom or avoid if you have discharge or cut to private parts. I will suggest you to consult with an ENT surgeon for sore throat.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
