Hello my name is katona I m 18 me & my boyfriend been trying to convince we haven t been lucky yet but I have had a pep smear before also I have been tested everything is negative & Ok & i had my period I think but it was spotting red & was way lighter then my normal periods my periods are usually heavy with clots & BAD cramps but this time cramps were mild I still took medicine tho to cool the cramps & now it is 2weeks & im spotting pink discharge could that mean I m pregnant ?
The first cause of pink spotting between menstrual periods is ovulation bleeding. Ovulation is the release of an egg from the ovaries, happens in the 14 th day of your menstrual cycle and it is nothing to worry about it.
The second cause is pregnancy. If an egg becomes fertilized it will imbed itself in the lining of the uterine lining around 1-2 weeks later. This will cause some of the blood that makes up this lining to break loose and fall into the vagina. As this blood makes its way through the cervix it can mix with the vagina's natural discharge, causing it to turn a pinkish color.
I would highly recommend You to do a pregnancy test.
Good luck and best regards, Dr. Eni
