Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Yes Joint inflammation (arthritis) can cause pain, swelling, and stiffness of the joints, including of the hands, knees, ankles, wrists, and feet due to relapsing polycondritis. To control the flare up you may need nsaids, Immunosuppressants or immunomodulators etc. Please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
