Does Pounding Of Heart Caused After Having A Mixed Drink A Concern?

I am a 64 yr old woman in good health. ive noticed recently that after I have a mixed drink or a glass of wine my heart pounds and thuds for awhile. Is this anything to be concerned about? I really don t like the sensation and so don t drink much alcohol anyway.

Yes. Best thing Is to avoid alcohol. And if you are fine other than that alcohol intake thing then you need not worry. But, bcos you are older than 60 years I suggest you to get a baseline echo, ecg.
