Does Pregnancy Affect Marfan Syndrome?

I have marfans syndrome and iv had 5 children all by c section,,my aorta always dilates when im pregnant but always returns to normal level after birth ,,,i started having chest pain a few months ago so had a ct with contrast and iv just been told my aorta has now dilated to levels the same as when i had my last son 2yrs ago ,,,im not pregnant so im extremely worried,,,,should i be .

Pregnancy and Marfan syndrome affects each other. usually aorta gets dilated during pregnancy and may even rupture during deliver, for which we often advise to avoid pregnancy in severe cases of Marfan's syndrome and sometimes we plan for CS. In some cases, even after delivery, the aortic root dilatation persists. But now, you need to keep yourself under careful supervision by a cardiologist.
