i still have my implanon implant in my arm and it expired august 21 2014 and it has been over a month and im not able to get it remove where im currently residing so far ive been told i may have to go bac to where it was put in which is in Philadelphia pa which doesnt make sense and when i call the obgyn at the hospital where it was put in they have no availability until mid November possibly late December so im really in a panic state of mind i don t know the risk of this implant still being in my after it has expired and then i may be pregnant and i also started some very light spotting about and hour ago im very worried and scared

I am sorry that it seems to take so long to get an appointment to have it removed, but you may want to try another physician who can remove it for you quicker. If you are concerned about pregnancy you should take a pregnancy test. usually the Nexplanon will work longer than three years, but you can't rely on it after three years because it is no longer guaranteed.
