Does Primolut N Tablets Abort Pregnancy?
Hi Doc, I am 35 yrs old . I just confirm at 27th feb that I am pregnant after taking a P-test and I want to abort it. I went immediately to a local doctor and explain my situation and he prescribed me the Primolut N tablets. i m taking this tablets from1st march as 2+2+2. My last period started on the 24th of jan and finished on the 31st of jan. Please can you tell me whether these pills will work to help me abort this baby. Many thanks for

Primolute contains progesterone. It is a hormone normally secreted during pregnancy and helps to maintain pregnancy. It will induce a period only in cases where there are low levels of progesterone and high estrogen. In pregnancy, this is not true. So primolute will not induce a period.
If you want an abortion, please see a gynecologist, get evaluated and take abortifacient drugs like mifepristone and misoprostol. They have to be taken under medical supervision and within 63 days of the last menstrual period.
