Does Prolonged Intake Of Birth Control Pills Cause Irregular Menstruation?
Last year I went on vacation and read online that by taking your birth control continuously can delay your period. Well it worked but I took advantage of this method and haven t stopped taking my pill since that day and have yet to get my period. I have a lot of spotting and stuff but no actual period. I want to start regularly getting my period again and was wondering if I just stop taking the pill if that will happen and if my reproduction is going to be messed up in the future.

It can take 6 to 9 months, in some persons, for the period to regularize after discontinuing hormonal contraception. In some, the period returns to normal within the next month. It varies from one person to the next.
