Does Prominent Central Duct In Pancreas Mean Pancreatic Cancer?

I was recently diagnosed with appendicitis and had an emergency appendectomy. Everything there went as to be expected. While reviewing my test results, a CT scan to be specific, I came across something that gave me pause. The central duct in my pancreas is noted to be prominent at .5 cm. I researched this via google, and quite frankly, what I read has scared me. Should I be worried about pancreatic cancer? Should I be worried at all?

Hi there.. please rest assured. Perhaps its a typo error. You can get a repeat check / reading of this scan by your gastroenterologist./ radiologist... and do not rush to diagnosis of cancer without finding the reason for the increase in size....So for now remember, go back to your gastroenterologist, I am sure he can comment better on this finding. It may be acute/ chronic pancreatitis which ahs different management. For dont work yourself up thinking its cancer right away. Be positive and take care
