Does Pulled Muscle Cause Skin Rash?

I was taking a shower this past week and felt a pop in my back which i assumed I pulled a muscle. It has been hurting since then and now the pain has progressed around to the side of my body, and I now have a small rash where the pain started. Did the pulled muscle cause this rash?
