Does Putting Alcohol On Vaginal Tear Cause More Harm?

I had sex last week and experienced what i think is a vaginal tear, I have been putting alcohol on it but it has not cleared up and last night I had sex again which did not make the situation any better. My questions are did i do more harm to myself by putting alcohol on it and could he be in danger of catching anything
