Does Radiation Cause Esophageal/ Atrophic Pancreatic Issues?

My friend has neuro-endocrine CA with presentation in her R. lung. Following surgery two mo. ago a new 8cm lesion was seen on CT last Monday. Her oncologist today suggested either a new radiation RX or further surgery The radiation my result in esophageal/ atrophic pancreatic issues. What is her bestter RX?

Hi dear.
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You have neuro endocrine tumor recurrence. you can go for surgery or radiotherapy. But you have single 8 mm lesion so surgery will be better option. Radiotherapy has more sidee effect. Consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.
