Does Recurring Thyroid Growth Cause Increase In Temper?

Recently, my mother seems to be always in anger, starting to find fault in everything and throwing things, drinking at night before sleep and asking around for sleeping pills. I suspect she may be having depression. She had Thyroid surgery before and recently, she told me about a reoccuring growth. Is this link to her sudden 'anger'?

the symptoms of increased level of thyroid hormones include this anger, nervousness, difficulty sleeping, sweating and and increased sensitivity to heat. Thyroid hormones controls the metabolic process in the body and increased level of thyroid hormone, increase the metabolic processes in the body and that is the explanation of this sudden anger and agitation and difficulty sleeping.
The chance of recurrence of increased level of hormones after thyroid surgery is possible and require medical treatment which are antithyroid medication like methimazole and radioactive iodine which would be sufficient in her case.
