Does Red Itchy Sores On Hands, Arms, Legs And Feet Indicate STD?
I have been with 5 different sexual partners in the last month unprotected....I was also injecting meth...some of the needles were used before me...I cleaned needles with bleach....I have red itchy red sores onthe top of my hands...few on arms, legs, and feet....they dont hurt... had them for about a week and a half....have quit using and am with only one partner now... could this be a std???
Hello and welcome to HCM, Red itchy sores on top of hands is not associated with any sexual transmitted disease (STD). Fungal infection can cause red itchy rash on the body. A clinical assessment of the rash is required for diagnosis. Definitive treatment can be given once diagnosis is made. In addition, you need to get a HIV test done since you have a high risk behavior. The rash can be an opportunistic infection associated with HIV infection. Thus, get a HIV test and it is also important to practice safe sex and avoid sharing of needles. Cleaning with bleach may not be sufficient to kill all infectious agents.
