Does Removal Of Copper Coil Result In Delay Periods?

Hello I had my copper coil removed 21 March and had sex on the 23rd but I took an emergency contraceptive as I was fertile with my ovulation day falling on the 29th March. My last fertile date of that month was on the 30th and I had sex again on the 2nd April but because I wasn t fertile I didn t take a pill. My period was meant to arrive on the 19th April, finishing on the 15th but it s now the 24th April and I m 12 days late. Does having the copper coil removed delay periods or am I pregnant?

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I have read your description and understand your concern.
Following removal of copper coil contraceptive devise, menstruation gets restored to normal quickly and fertility is regained. It does not cause delay in periods or menstrual irregularities in most cases.
Fertile period could vary from one menstrual period to another by +/- 3 to 5 days, as ovulation does not take place on 13th day everyday.
Based on the description, delay in periods could probably due to pregnancy.
Kindly get a urine pregnancy test done to know the status and undergo ultrasound scan to confirm. Please consult Gynecologist with the reports for clinical examination and evaluation for the cause, so that it can be managed accordingly.
