Does Rough Sex Cause Light Pink Discharge?

Hello I had sex last week and had a light pink on the toilet tissue after going to the toilet, everything was normal after this no bleeding but 5 days on I touched my cervix and there was blood, could this be from rough sex? I ve same partner for 8 years and been on the pill for 10 years.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It is normal to have bleeding/light pink on the toilet tissue after having rough/dry sex. It is because of local trauma/injury of vagina during rough/dry sex. It will go on its own.

I'd suggest to :
- keep good hygiene of your genitalia
- can apply cold compresses or greek yogurt locally
- avoid sex for some days until improvement
- try to talk to your partner for your problems and not to repeat rough sex if you feel uncomfortable.

All the best!
