Does Same Blood Group In Partner Result In Miscarriage?
I have had 3 miscarriages in 2013 . Till I get to almost 3 months I have miscarriages . me and my fiancé have the same blood type does that show any affect to my pregnancy ? What should I do to be able to go full term with a pregnancy ? Should I get test ran ?
Hi. This is probabaly not the cause for your miscarriage. You had 3 miscarriages means you fall in the category of recurrent pregnancy loss. For this you need detailed and thorough investigations. In addition to routine blood tests, get thyroid, APLA (antiphospholipid antibody syndrome) test, Karyotyping of both husband and wife and any structural defect of uterine cavity. Start treatment acc. to that and wish you all the best. Thanks.
Dear member, Thanks for writing to healthcare magic. Same blood group is not responsible for recurrent miscarriages. Miscarriage are of different cause. If all previous ones were because of no embryo then you may not need extensive tests. If these happened After 3rd month then you will need extensive investigation for thyroid, blood test for infection, hysteroscopy for Evaluation of uterus. please write back with previous history and reports. thanks Dr Bhagyashree
