Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just was diagnosed with the Shingles Virus today. I saw my first blister last night. When I woke, there were four more red patches and then three more later that morning all on the same side, which I know is how the virus presents itself. Can you have nerve pain on the other side of your body because I also seem to be feeling it on that side.
It is less likely for shingles to develop on both sides. Make sure you don't scratch the lesions and spread them on other parts of the skin as it is a chance for the virus to be inoculated in other areas if not much care taken to prevent it.Even though it is less likely for shingles to develop on both sides it is not impossible. If you notice the blisters come out on the other side then it is shingles and shingles can cause nerve pain if it is affecting the area.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj General & Family Physician
