Does Shingles Infection Cause Lower Back Pain?

Im 34 yrs old and have shingles in right side of my face including my eye. Its been 2 weeks now, the blisters are gone, redness in eye is gone, but my cornea is slightly inflammed. Currently seeing eye DR for that. Im getting lower back pain that comes and goes. Im worried that my shingles is still active; is it possible to feel pain at another part of the body even when shingles started on the face? Thanks

Hi,

I don’t think so. If it affected the lower back you will have skin lesions there also and then pain. It could be something else and should be checked out.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.

Regards,
Dr. Harshita, Ophthalmologist
