Does Skin Tag Removal Through Electric Current Cause Tissue Damage?

Hi! I had a small skin tag removed yesterday at my dr.s office (with a machine that used an electrical currant). They placed this electrical pad on the side of my rib cage. I now have a 3 red mark there that looks like a burn and my ribs hurt, like someone punched me there. I m concerned. Should I contact my doctor? Could I have damage to my muscle/tissue (or something worse than that) from that electrical current? Thanks.

Hello,
Thank you for posting on HCM.
Little redness and swelling is common after any procedure.
Apply T-Bact cream twice a day for 5 days.
I think i should be fine by then.
In case there is pain or pus discharge contact your dermatologist, who would prescribe some oral antibiotics like Cefadroxyl for few days.
Hoep this will solve your query.
Thank you
