Does Skipping An Atenolol Dosage Cause Any Side Effects?

I have been on 25mg. of atenolol and have been informed I can no longer get it at Walmart. I have tried unsuccessful to get a hold of my Dr. who put me on it after leaving 6 messages. How will I be affected without the atenolol? Don t have a appointment until 7-30-17.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.

* A dose skip of 2-3 doses of atenolol will not cause any ill effects ; but
if you do not take atenolol for a longer period of time, you may face
possible alterations in BP, pulse and other systemic issues.

* I would recommend to get prescription from another consultant if
there is prolong period to get the same from your regular doc.
