Does Skipping Birth Control Pills Cause Any Side Effects?
If this could be answered as soon as possible it could ease my worries. I had just started my first month of birth control pills (Viorele) and I missed one on the 2nd week of the pills , not for the whole day just by 7-8 hours and I took it as soon as I remembered. I than took the pills as usual but 6 days later I had intercourse without a condom , and 4 days after the intercourse I forgot to take the pill by 6 hrs and I began to spot some blood , is it the side effect of not taking the pill or does it mean it could be spotting because I m pregnant ?

Hi I think spotting can be due to breakthrough bleeding. It is a side effect of birth control pills. So, don't worry about it. It will resolve on its own. If you took the missed pill within 24 hours, there is no need to worry about. Spotting is not due to pregnancy. Hope it helps.
