Does Skipping Birth Control Pills Cause Vaginal Bleeding And Abdominal Cramps?
I skipped 2 periods by keeping on taking the active pills of my birth control. I started some spotting 4 days ago but the bleeding increased almost like a period. I experienced cramps and I even got a white elastic tissue coming out of my vagina. I am wondering if this happened because I missed a pill the week before that or because I started skipping periods as soon as I started taking birth control. I have been taking the birth control throughout the bleeding. I have been sexually active throughout all this time and I am really afraid to get pregnant since I didnt use other protection. I thought about taking EC but I am afraid it will mess up with my hormones even more. Please help!
Let me tell you that taking birth control pills properly helps prevent cramps apart from protecting you from pregnancy. If you miss the pills, hormone levels may change and trigger breakthrough bleeding and cramps. It is always advised to take your pills regularly as advised.
