Does Smoking Cigarettes Cause Chest Pain?

I am a smoker. I have between 5 and 15 smokes a day. I have started getting chest pains in the last 2 days and it s getting worse. It feels like it s in my left lung and also hurts when I put pressure just on the inner side of my left nipple. It hurts when I breath in but I can still feel the pain when I have no air in my lungs. Any suggestions??

Hello,

I think all these are signals that your body is giving to you as a ringing bell for the bad effects of smoking.

Should stop smoking, and run a complete cardiac checkup (EKG, echocardiogram, stress test). Chest Xray is also recommended to rule out lung problems.

After evaluating the results, we can decide on best treatment strategy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
