Does Smoking Weed Affect The Throat?

Hello, I m 23 with a couple dental issues. Taking penicillin at the moment for an infection under a molar tooth, but I noticed that when I smoke even small amounts of weed, my throat feels tense and tight. No pain and my breathing is ok. I m just curious what it might be from. I also smoke cigarettes but it hasn t happened after smoking them. Thanks!

Hello and welcome.
Thanks for sharing your concern.
As per the symptoms mentioned here it could be mild to moderate dryness in your throat due to infection.please avoid smoking presently. It is best if you quit this habit.
Secondly keep your self hydrated and take plenty of fluids and semisolid food.
If you find the symptoms aggravate then please see your ENT specialist for laryngoscopy and scans.
Hope it helps.
Thanks.
Take care.
