Does Sore, Tingling And Burning Between Upper Lip And Nose Indicates Herpes?

I have a sore between my upper lip and my nose. it starts out as a red spot, tingling and burning. it turns into an ugly scab and usually takes about 2 weeks to go away. Is this herpes? I have used abreva, but it does not lessen the symptoms or make it go away sooner.

Hi

The description that you have provided points in favor of a herpes skin infection.
There can usually be three to five recurrences in a year.
Any kind of fever ,stress , illness or even direct sunlight can act as triggers for the recurrence of the episodes.
You should take a proper course of oral antivirals whenever you tend to develop it again. You should keep the affected area clean and dry .
See a nearby dermatologist for confirmation of the diagnosis and thereby further management .
