Hi dear
Pilonidal sinus is usually a longstanding condition with recurring infection.
If this was recent onset and short duration, may just indicate an infective ulcer.
Keep the are clean and dry.apply antibacterial cream.kindly get it examined by your doctor to assess need for oral antibiotics.
Take care.Thank you.
