Does Stopping Contraceptive Pills During Menopause Cause Heavy Bleeding?

i have been taking northesteron for years to regulate my periods because i am terrified of my periods ,now they are saying i have to stop taking them ,because they think they are affecting me reaching the menapause ,i am 57 ,i am terrified of what my periods will be like ,how heavy they will be how long they will last for i feel i can not cope i am so scared

In my opinion, you should not worry too much. You are already above 55 years. So you have already achieved natural menopause. So you can definitely stop Norethisterone without any fear. You may have withdrawal bleeding for 1-2 days only. So don't be scared.
