Does Stopping Hormone Pills Stop Periods?

i forget to take my pill on sunday and i was just into my 2nd week of starting the pill, i got my period on monday. ive continued taking the pill and my period has continued? im getting married the weekend i dont want to have my period, should i stop takin the hormone pills?
