Does Stopping The Intake Of Mercilon Cause Joint Pain?

what are the side effects of stopping mercilon. Have been on it for many years and have now had a coil fitted. am fit and healthy play a lot of tennis but suddenly have very achy joints and feel stiff. not normal to me. I am 53 but pretty fit and healthy and just wondered if it could be a side effect of not taking mercilon any more. thanks i weigh about 9 stone and am 5 3
