Does Sudden Numbness And Tingling Hand Suggest Ulnar Nerve Palsy?

Hello. I was asleep with my hand coiled under my neck. I woke up 42 minutes ago and my ring and pinky finger, that whole side of my hand is tingly and numb. I've read up online and it said 'ulnar nerve palsy' or syndrome. I was wondering if it could be that and if it were. Should I be going to the emergency room or should I just try stretches for a while first?
