Hi, I am 30 years old trying to conceive for last 3 years , I went through the IUI cycle last month on 11th Feb. It was a natural cycle with natural ovulation, I do not have any hormonal imbalance also. I have a short cycle of 25 days , my last period date was 29th Jan , ovulated on 10th Feb , got IUI done on 11th Feb. Doctor had advised me to take susten 200 for 14 days, but I took for 10 days and stopped. But I have not got my periods as yet.Just wanted to know whether Susten delays periods?
Hello and welcome to Health Care Magic Forum. During Ovulation induction and IUI treatments drugs like susten , which are progesterone supplements are give to support the pregnancy if the IUI is successful. Also progesterones have functions of delaying period when taken and produce withdrawl bleeding 3-5 days after stopping them. I would suggest you to wait 7 to 10 days post stopping susten /your expected period date whichever is later and then do a home pregnancy test is you still have not got your period. Good Luck!!
