Does Taking Eliquis Cause Nausea, Cold Chills And Sleeplessness In A COPD Patient?

my husband is 82 and he has COPD and developed pneumonia in the hospital and had a short bout with abfib and I was wondering if the albuterol he was given caused the abfib, He never had any heart rythymproblems though he had a heart attack 42 years ago....due to high cholesterol and stress and he has no scarring. He has smoked for a good number of years and stopped smoking in 2002, He has had COPD for awhile even when we lived in Colorado and never had any problem breathing, He is on oxygen at night and is on eliquis because of the abfib. Seems like he is having side effects from that drug. He is freezing cold and it is 80 degrees here in Florida and feels some nausea and eye focus problems and has a difficult time getting to sleep. What tests need to be taken to get him off the eliquis. He was just taken off of diltiazem because of a rash and swelling of his feet. That is better and he is on tuprol XL please advise !

Hello

No i do not think his concerns are due to Eliquis use.Probably you should discuss with his treating doctor of COPD for reevaluating him regarding.
