Does Taking Fabb And Folivane Mean A Lot Of Folic Acid ?
Hello, i have a question for OB GYN DR?? iam taking Fabb tablets, and Folivane prenatal vitamines, both under Dr prescription. the prescriptions are given based o lab results. My Dr also recommended to take prometrium after the ovulation day, and continue if i am getting pregnant.
My problem: 2 misscarriages until now:
My qyestion is? Am i taking a lot of Folic Acid, (DNA result= mutation C677T)
Second Question: can i start now the prometrium, Pregnancy test positive, am i late???

Hi.What your DNA Mutation result is showing is MTHFR enzyme defect.It may not have any effect on your pregnancy as it is a single nucleotide polymorphism.You can take this folic acid as it will protect your baby from neural tube defects. you can start prometrium(micronised progesterone) per vaginum for supporting pregnancy. I will advise you to consult your gynecologist as your pregnancy test is positive and due ti previous hisotry of 2 miscarriages, she may like to advise you some extra treatment or tests and other instructions.
