Does Taking Flexeril And Tylenol Cause Abdominal Pain And Nausea?

My husband is having severe abdominal pain and gas, feels nauseous, and cannot have a bowel movement. He was in a wreck and is taking generic Flexeril twice a day and generic Tylenol 3 three times a day. Could he be having a bad reaction to these medicines?

Hi,Dear,Thanks for your query to HCM.
Dear I read facts of your query and reviewed it in context to your query health issues.
I understood your health concerns and feel Concerned about them.
Based on the facts of your query the reply of your query is-
Drug Induced Gastritis with GERD with accompanied IBS.
Constipation induced by flaxeril and accompanied with Gastritis induced from Tylenol , has lead to the abdominal pain with nausea.
Flaxeril being a muscle relaxant,is not effective in abdominal cramps, which are due to smooth muscle contractions with accompanied IBS,where in the Constipation is aggravated and is complicating the IBS with these exaggerated complaints of nausea / and abdominal pain.
Thus it could be drug induced and could be due to exaggerated IBS with food induced infection.
Do's Suggested-
Check the stool and Consult GI physician and surgeon.
Bland diet without chillies with plenty of fluids.
Yoghurt / Butter milk with rice porridge x 2 time a day x 2 weeks,
Nonspicy /small semisolid diet helpings x 3 -4 times day
Vit D and Calcium
and Vit B12 and Folic Acid - to tone up the bowel functioning.
Tab Imodium with Tab Motrin and Tab Pantoprazole- x 2 times a day x 10 days time with the above die would controll your acute health issues in next
weeks period and would stabilze bowel functions in next 2 weeks pain.
But in the absence of other information,I would suggest you to go for GI-Physician-Consults.As the facts could be different from what you submitted.
So looking in to the sensitive complaint of yours,I would suggest you to rule out other causes of such a complaints by Consulting and investigating with GI Physician and Surgeon doctor.
It would be prudent to have physical Check from Consulting GI Physician and Surgeon to start with/ first- before planning further investigations and treatment for it.
Other causes need to be ruled out in any case.

Just don't worry and be patient and co-operate with your doctors, till you verify with your attending doctors.
Need to Check with Consulting Physician/Surgeon- if need be, if things don't recover.

-Other causes need to be verified with your family GP /Consulting Physician/Surgeon -Specialist doctors, as the facts may be different what you submitted.

-For this Second opinion with GI Physician and Surgeon- specialist-is needed who would do proper investigation after proper physical assessment to resolve your health issues.
-for early recovery-please follow above do's which would resolve your complex health issues.

Hope this would help you to treat your health issues in the best way possible.

Welcome for any further query in this regard.
Good Day!!
