Does Taking Lamictal Affect The Kidneys?

I have recurring deep deprssions for many years some lasting up to 6 months, never more, and always handled with an temporary increase of the prozac I take. My current doctor asked if I ever had any manic episodes and I answered that when coming out of a depression I sometime get an over abundance of energy that balances out after a couple of days. He diagnosed me as Bi-Polar and while I was and am still in a depression, along with outting me on maxiumum dosages of Abilify, buproprion and prozac, he added 200mg Lamictal a day. I feel worse than I ever have and since these medications started 2 years ago I am still in a depression. Since I started Lamictal I feel I cannot get out of a depression that has never lasted more than six months. He won't listen to me or even allow me to suggest cutting it back. I have also just been diagnosed with kindey disease and am operating with a 50% level of my kidneys. Lamicatal affects the kidneys. What do I do?
