Does Taking Plan B Cause Irregularity In Periods?

Hello, so last Saturday I had unprotected sex around 12:00 am. I was not taking birth control at the time so on Monday I took a plan B pill, on Monday I also started taking birth control... Im very scared because I just want to know if the plan B worked or not. Should I stop taking birth control until i get my period? Based off my birth control I should get my period the second week of march but i usually get it at the end of the month so next week sometime would have been the norm. Since I started birth control at the same time now I m not sure when my period will come. Im very worried. What do you suggest?

HI
Well come to HCM
If the intercourse was don not on the ovulation phase then this is nothing to worry and no need to take any oral contraceptive medicine and if this was on the day of ovulation then precaution need to be taken, but let me tell you that no method of contraception is hundred per cent promising and in case of missing period better to get don the pregnancy test, hope this information helps, take care.
