Does Taking Primolut And I Pill Postpone The Periods For Few Days?

Im 22 years old. I had unprotected sex with my husband jst the previous day of period date by taking primolut [postponing tablet]. After which i took an ipill. nw i still din get my periods, its been 5 days after sex . V r really tensed, can u plz help us?

Hi,

Once you start Primolut, it might result in hormonal changes in the body. There are chances it might affect your next cycle & it depends on when is the due of your next cycle falls. Also the emergency pill you have taken can also change your menstrual cycle and it's not 100% protective. Hence, the chances of getting pregnant is still there. I advise you to:
- Do serum beta hCG test which is more reliable than HPT to rule out pregnancy
- Consult your doctor for further assistance
