Does Taking Susten SR During Pregnancy Harm The Fetus?

I am a pregnant woman and I am in my third trimester. I had slight spotting in my first trimester and from then I am taking susten sr 200mg orally daily twice as per my doctor s suggestion. I have read somewhere that this progesterone treatment can cause the baby to be transgender. Is this true? Is this tablet really harmful?? I am in my 34th week now. Should I still continue or stop using this.

Hi,

The progesterone-like tables are allowed to be used in pregnancy. They are not harmful to the fetus and there is no evidence of babies being transgender after treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
