Does Taking Alkaline Water Affect Menstrual Cycle?

Does alkaline water affects my regular menstruation cycle or period? Since we ve been drinking for a couple weeks ago, my lower abdomen keeps on cramping but I didn t have my period yet, and I m nervous if this is just an effect of the alkaline water or am I pregnant.

Hi.

Drinking alkaline water helps with enhancing the body's buffering capacity and tempers the acidity.

Although alkaline drinking water is considered safe, it may produce some side effects like nausea, vomiting, tremors, muscle twitching or cramps, tingling sensation in the extremities or face.

It is not known to affect the menstrual cycle.

Delayed period could be due to an early pregnancy, emotional stress, heavy exercise, hormonal disorders or diseases of the ovary.
