Does Taking Atenelol Cause Tingling In Scalp And Numbness In Extremities?

I started taking atenelol 25 mg 1x daily about 9 days ago after several episodes of rapid hear rate. I had nuclear stress test done and all was fine with my heart. After 2 days of 25 mg tablet, I felt light headed and pulse and blood pressure was low. Dr. lowered me to half of a tablet daily or 12.5 mg daily. Every since beginning the beta blocker, I have tingling feeling on scalp and in extremeties with a numbe feeling at times on face on lips. Could this be related to the atenelol getting into my system. I have always had my blood pressure run on the low side so the purpose of the med was for heart rate which is believed to be caused by extreme stress that I have endured for the past 12 months.
