Does Taking Medication During Pregnancy Harmful?

i have dermographism, and i am 5 weeks pregnant, i treat my dermographism with 10 mg loratadine, i also have NVP, Rx diclectin; what should I do? I am concerned about taking too much antihistamines, but i know i have to treat the dermographism, if not i would subject myself to pain (welts and linear hives, and swelling over period of time if not treated)

Hello,
I can understand your concern about your baby and i would like to suggest you to consult your doctor before taking any kind of medicines during pregnancy. usually loratadine will not affect the fetus, but any kind of steroid or NSAIDs will definitely affect the growth of fetus and can cause malformation.
So my advise to you is to consult your doctor and then take safe medicines as per your doctor's prescription, as otherwise you will suffer from pain....
