Does Taking Pill Causes Irregular Periods ?

I'm on the pill and take it everyday, have not had any problems since taking, but I finished my period just over a week ago and now had another 2 bleeds since, I started on sunday this week finished yesterday and now started again 2day... The blood isn't like period blood though as it's really bright red in colour... Is this normal?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Yes, the pill does have such irregular bleeding as a side effect and I would advise you to report this to your prescribing doctor for further management in the form if either a subsitution or aiming at reducing the symptoms.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
